St. Pio of Pietrelcina

Today we celebrate the feast of St. Pio of Pietrelcina, more commonly referred to as Padre Pio.

Born of May 25, 1887, From young on he felt the call to join the Capuchin Franciscans, which he did. He was transferred several times from monastery to monastery due to poor health.
